The Fond du Lac County man accused of illegally obtaining human skulls has been bound over for trial.
47-year-old Benjamin Larson waived his preliminary hearing last week before he was scheduled to be arraigned on Monday, September 28th.
Fond du Lac County District Attorney Eric Toney added that Judge Edelstein also denied Larson’s motion to dismiss the criminal complaint.
Toney added that his office “continues to work with law enforcement partners to protect sacred Tribal burial remains and the overall protection of our community.”
Larson was arrested on August 14th after a search of his home uncovered three Native American skulls, which the criminal complaint says he had no legal avenue to obtain.
Law enforcement said they also found a shrine to infamous serial killer Ed Gein.
Larson was officially charged last week with Obstruction, Bail Jumping, and three counts of Concealing Stolen Property.
