Bail has been set for the Fond du Lac man whose home was filled with human remains and serial killer memorabilia.
47-year-old Benjamin Larson was in court yesterday, where he was given a $250,000 cash bail and officially charged with Obstruction, Bail Jumping, and three counts of Concealing Stolen Property.
This is in addition to the charge of Stalking he is facing in Dane County. Larson was arrested on August 14th after a search of his home uncovered three Native American skulls, which the criminal complaint says he had no legal avenue to obtain.
He also reportedly had a near full set of skeletal remains on display in a coffin with a glass top, shrines to infamous serial killer Ed Gein, and a jar with a label indicating it contained a piece of John Wayne Gacy’s brain.
Larson initially called the items “family heirlooms” and provided a list of places he obtained the remains.
However, police were unable to verify any of those purchases. Larson is due back in court on Friday (September 4th) for his preliminary hearing.
