One of the two assailants in a string of break ins and assaults in Manitowoc has entered his plea.
22-year-old Zackary Wolf Jr. returned to court this week for his preliminary hearing as he faces two counts each of Burglary to a Building or Dwelling, Substantial Battery, and Disorderly Conduct, along with additional counts of Criminal Damage to Property and Criminal Trespassing to a Dwelling.
During Thursday’s proceedings (August 13th), Wolf Jr. waived his right to a preliminary hearing, so the day also served as his arraignment, and he pled not guilty to all eight charges he faces.
Wolf Jr. and 23-year-old Elijah Medina have been accused of breaking into two homes in Manitowoc last month.
Once inside, it is alleged that they physically assaulted individuals at both locations. In one instance, the duo are said to have broken into an Airbnb and assaulted an out of town guest who was vacationing in Manitowoc with his wife.
At the second location, the two are alleged to have brutally assaulted a man romantically involved with Medina’s current or past partner.
Wolf Jr. will now return to court on Thursday (August 20th) for a bail hearing as he remains in custody on a $40,000 cash bail.
