A man facing charges for child sexual assault and grooming is looking to get his bail lowered for the third time.
29-year-old Jose Medrano will be in court today (August 5th) for a bail hearing as he faces seven felony charges, including First-Degree Child Sex Assault of a Person Under the age of 16 with the Use of Force, Grooming a Child for Sexual Activity, and Exposing Genitals to a Child, among others.
Today’s hearing will mark the third time that Medrano and his legal counsel have argued to get his bail lowered after it was set at $30,000 cash back in June.
The 29-year-old is accused of traveling from his home in Schofield, Wisconsin, to sexually assault a local teenage girl with the use of force and of grooming the minor child for sexual activity, along with other graphic allegations.
Regardless of today’s findings, Medrano will be back in court tomorrow (August 6th) for his preliminary hearing in front of Judge Anthony Lambrecht.
