A bail modification request has been denied for a suspected child groomer.
33-year-old Nathan D. Brase of Medford was in front of Manitowoc County Judge Anthony Lambrecht on Tuesday, where his legal counsel argued to have his $25,000 cash bail lowered.
The state objected, and Judge Lambrecht agreed, denying the motion.
This comes as Brase faces charges of Grooming a Child for Sexual Activity, Exposing Genitals to a Child, Soliciting an Intimate Representation from a Child, Exposing a Child to Harmful Descriptions, and one misdemeanor count of Intimidating a Victim.
These charges stem from incidents that are said to have taken place between January and March of this year.
The 33-year-old is accused of grooming a girl from Two Rivers for sexual activity, and investigators believe there may be additional victims.
Following Brase’s failed attempt at getting his bail lowered, he will return to court today (July 9th) for his preliminary hearing.
Anyone with details on other potential victims is encouraged to contact Detective Megan Klumpyan or Detective Lieutenant Jake Glaser with the Two Rivers Police Department by calling 920-793-1191.
