The man who died in a crash last week in Calumet County has been identified.
The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that 39-year-old Tyler Polum of Shawano was behind the wheel of an SUV that collided with a dump truck just before 11:15 a.m. last Monday.
The initial investigation revealed that Polum was driving north on Highway PP and had stopped at a stop sign at the intersection with Highway 57.
The dump truck was traveling south on 57 when Polum pulled out in front of it.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other driver, 72-year-old Dennis Miesler of Luxemburg, was uninjured.
