The Green Bay Police Department is continuing to have an issue with people displaying toy guns that look like real firearms.
We first reported on this issue back in mid-June, and also reported on the rise in the use of ghost guns earlier this month.
The latest incident took place last week Thursday (July 7th), when officers arrested a man for suspected drug possession.
He was in possession of what looked and felt like a Glock handgun, but was in fact a BB gun.
Earlier in the week, officers arrested a teen after he flashed a similar facsimile gun.
The issue with having these types of guns in public is they could end in tragedy.
If an officer sees a weapon that looks like a real handgun, they are not going to assume it is fake.
The Green Bay Police Department is not asking people to not own BB guns like these, they are just asking you not to take them out into public.
