A former Kaukauna teacher has been sentenced.
43-year-old Ty Maki appeared before Outagamie County Judge Kyle Sargent Monday morning (November 3rd), where he pleaded guilty to a charge of Attempting to Expose a Child to Harmful Descriptions.
He was then ordered to spend 120 days in jail, but was given credit for 52 days served.
That sentence will be followed by 24 months on probation, and his inclusion on the sex offender registry for 15 years.
Maki was arrested after he was caught chatting with someone he thought was a minor on a chat app, but was actually an undercover police officer.
The conversations began turning sexual after several weeks, despite the undercover officer repeatedly saying they were 15 years old.
