A Two Rivers man arrested for preying on young girls is due in court.
44-year-old Matthew Rausch will be in front of Judge Anthony Lambrecht for his initial appearance as he faces felony charges of Grooming a Child for Sexual Activity and Possession of Child Pornography.
Rausch was taken into custody last week after it was discovered that he was using images of young boys on social media to pose as a minor and target girls under the age of 18.
He would then ask them to send nude images themselves and would send similar images of himself in return.
During his bail hearing last week, Assistant District Attorney Kevin Lassiter noted that two of the 44-year-old’s victims are local children, but it is believed there are more victims from other areas as well.
For this reason, ADA Lassiter also revealed that more charges may come in the future as the investigation continues.
As of this morning, Rausch remains in custody at the Manitowoc County Jail on a $25,000 cash bail.
