A Two Rivers man has been charged in a child pornography and grooming case.
44-year-old Matthew Rausch was given a $25,000 cash bail by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch yesterday (October 29th)on charges of Possession of Child Pornography and Grooming a Child for Sexual Activity.
However, Assistant District Attorney Kevin Lassiter says more charges may be coming.
When speaking to authorities, Rausch admitted to using images of young boys, some of which were acquired at a local park, to pose as a teenager on social media, where he also admitted to targeting girls under the age of 18 on these platforms.
The 44-year-old would then ask the young girls for nude images and also sent nude images of himself in return.
During his bail hearing, it was confirmed that two of the victims are local, but it is believed there are more victims from other areas as well.
It was also revealed that law enforcement had approached him with warnings in the past for similar behavior, but he allegedly continued to prey on young girls.
He will return to court on Monday (November 2nd) to make his initial appearance.
