The case for a Chilton woman charged in a deadly car crash while intoxicated is still working its way through the court.
During a status conference last Friday, the attorney for 19-year-old Abigail Wilcox received an accident reconstruction report and needs about 30 days to review it and prepare.
He asked for another status conference, to which Calumet County District Attorney Nathan Haberman did not object.
Judge Jeffery Froehlich set Wilcox’s next status conference for December 18th.
Prosecutors say the 19-year-old was stopped at a stop sign when she pulled out and hit a car being driven by 89-year-old Nancy Wesener.
No signs of impairment were detected at the scene, but an evidentiary blood draw allegedly determined Wilcox had Delta-9 THC in her blood at the time of the crash.
She faces one charge of homicide by vehicle with use of a controlled substance.
