A Chilton woman charged in a fatal car accident has been bound over for trial.
19-year-old Abigail Wilcox entered a plea of not guilty to a single charge of homicide by vehicle with use of a controlled substance.
A status conference has been set for Wilcox for August 26th.
Calumet County Sheriff’s Deputies say the 19-year-old was at a stop sign at the intersection of Irish Road and Highway in September last year.
Wilcox claims her vision was obstructed by corn and that she didn’t see the victim’s car coming.
When the two collided, 89-year-old Nancy Wesener died.
No signs of impairment were detected at the scene, but an evidentiary blood draw determined Wilcox had Delta-9 THC in her blood at the time of the crash.
