A local nonprofit will be raising awareness of domestic violence in Sheboygan later today (October 15th).
In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Safe Harbor of Sheboygan County will be hosting its second Community Story Tree Art Workshop from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Maywood Environmental Park.
When describing what attendees can expect, Safe Harbor explained, “Using the tree as a symbol of life, participants will have the opportunity to express their stories and share their hopes and visions for a violence-free future by painting or collaging a segment of the Community Story Tree.”
The event will also explore themes of community, hope, resilience, healing, and connection.
No artistic experience is needed to participate, and the event will be free and open to the public.
