An alleged drug dealer from Manitowoc has entered his plea.
52-year-old Michael J. Groh was back inside a Manitowoc County courtroom for a preliminary hearing as he faced one felony count of Manufacturing or Delivering Methamphetamine as a second or subsequent offense.
At that hearing, Groh and his legal counsel waived his right to the preliminary hearing, turning the appearance into an arraignment. During the arraignment, Groh entered a not guilty plea to the lone charge he faces.
The 52-year-old was arrested following a controlled buy set up by the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit, where he was found in possession of nearly seven grams of meth, an amount Manitowoc County Assistant District Attorney Ryan Michaels noted to be well above the amount necessary for strictly personal use.
This new charge comes as Groh has previous Manitowoc County convictions for Manufacturing or Delivering Amphetamine, Delivering Cocaine, and Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place, among others.
He will next be in court on October 23rd for further proceedings.
Until then, he remains in custody on a $250 cash bail.
