A woman is in custody after missing court in Manitowoc County for the fifth time.
42-year-old Amy E. Duerwaechter was given a $300 cash bail yesterday (September 14th) by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch.
Duerwaechter has been charged with First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, two counts of Intentionally Pointing a Firearm at a Person, and Disorderly Conduct linked to an incident that occurred in April of last year in the 1600 block of Galax Drive.
Once on scene, authorities learned that the 42-year-old had fired a gun in the air while telling someone to leave her residence, and video surveillance also showed that Duerwaechter chased the person out of her home and pointed the weapon at the victim.
A bench warrant was issued for Duerwaechter on June 4th after she failed to appear in court for her competency hearing the previous day, marking the fifth time she missed a court hearing in the case.
It is unclear when or how authorities located and apprehended her.
She is next due in court on October 5th for a competency hearing.
