The Reedsville man charged with cutting off deer heads and dumping their bodies in Manitowoc County has entered his plea.
During his initial appearance, 24-year-old Luis Rodriguez pleaded not guilty to all 46 misdemeanor charges he faces.
Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch also gave Rodriguez a $2,500 recognizance bond.
He will return to court on November 12th for a scheduling conference. The 24-year-old faces 16 charges of Illegal Shining of Deer, 15 counts of resisting or obstructing a warden, and 15 counts of hunting deer during a closed season.
The Wisconsin DNR started investigating after a deer carcass was found in Mishicot.
A criminal complaint says Rodriguez would admit to shooting multiple deer between December 2025 and January this year.
He would also shine deer, meaning he used a bright light to stun deer before they were shot and killed.
The 24-year-old also admitted to registering bucks as does.
