A Schofield man accused of sexually assaulting a child in Manitowoc County has entered his plea.
29-year-old Jose Medrano was in court on Monday (August 24th) for his plea hearing as he faces charges of First-Degree Child Sex Assault of a Person Under the Age of 16 with the Use of Force, Grooming a Child for Sexual Activity, Exposing Genitals to a Child, Using a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime, Child Enticement – Sexual Contact, Causing a Child 13-18 to View Sexual Activity, and Soliciting an Intimate Representation from a Minor.
At that hearing, Medrano entered a not guilty plea to all seven felonies he faces.
Following his plea, Judge Anthony Lambrecht bound over the 29-year-old for further proceedings.
The various accusations against Medrano include allegedly traveling to Manitowoc County to forcibly sexually assault a local 14-year-old child.
Medrano will return to court on September 25th for further proceedings ahead of a scheduling conference on October 15th.
