The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is reminding residents of today’s (August 18th) public involvement meeting regarding an intersection in Sheboygan County.
The meeting will be held today at 4:00 p.m. inside the Howards Grove Village Hall, covering potential safety improvements proposed by the DOT at the intersection of State Highway 32 and County Road J in the Town of Sheboygan Falls.
This intersection is considered one of the county’s deadliest, with four fatalities on record since 2010, and 14 crashes taking place between 2019 and 2023.
Current proposed improvements at the intersection to increase safety include the installation of traffic lights and the construction of a single-lane roundabout.
Concerned residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to learn more about possible improvements, hear from DOT representatives, and share their thoughts on the intersection.
At this time, the DOT forecasts that construction will start sometime in 2030 if approved.
