The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is thinking about making changes at a deadly intersection in Sheboygan County.
The DOT will be holding a public involvement meeting on Tuesday (August 18th) regarding potential changes at the intersection of County Road J and State Highway 32 in the Town of Sheboygan Falls.
The meeting will be held at the Howards Grove Village Hall, beginning at 4:00 p.m., and community members are encouraged to attend to learn more and share their thoughts.
The intersection has long been considered one of the most dangerous and deadly in the county, with the DOT noting that between 2019 and 2023, there were 14 crashes, seven of which caused injuries.
Furthermore, there have been four fatalities at the intersection since 2010 alone, something the DOT is looking to put an end to.
Current proposals for the intersection to increase driver safety include the construction of a single-lane roundabout or the installation of traffic lights.
