A Manitowoc man facing numerous child sexual assault charges across numerous cases can’t find a lawyer.
27-year-old Trenten Ploederl was back in court this week to make his initial appearance as he faces one count of First-Degree Child Sexual Assault – Intercourse with a Person Under 12 and 13 counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
These charges came about following an incident that is said to have taken place on November 1st, 2024.
At Ploederl’s initial appearance, it was noted that the 27-year-old qualifies for Public Defender representation but has yet to be assigned legal counsel.
For this, Judge Jerilyn Dietz chose to adjourn the hearing, allowing him time to be assigned a lawyer.
Across other legal proceedings, Ploederl has at least 18 pending cases against him, which include over 100 counts of bail jumping, multiple counts of First-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child Under 16 with the Use of Force, three counts of Trafficking a Child, and numerous additional charges involving sex crimes against children and adults.
He returns to court in his most recent case for his adjourned initial appearance on Monday (August 3rd).
