A Manitowoc man already facing a long list of child sexual assault charges has been charged again for additional crimes against a minor.
27-year-old Trenten Ploederl was given a $200,000 cash bail yesterday (July 21st) by Court Commissioner Jewel Scharenbroch on charges of First-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child and 10 counts of Felony Bail Jumping, while an Intimidation charge is pending.
The 27-year-old has been accused of sexually assaulting a young minor.
During the alleged assault, Ploederl is accused of performing oral sex on the victim, forcing the child to touch his genitals, and taking the victim’s phone when they tried to call police, among other graphic accusations.
During that same hearing, despite being advised not to speak, Ploederl went on a near 15-minute diatribe denouncing the charges and pleading his innocence.
Commissioner Scharenbroch still opted for the $200,000 cash recommended by the state.
This comes as the 27-year-old currently has at least 18 pending cases against him, which include over 100 counts of bail jumping, multiple counts of First-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child Under 16 with the Use of Force, three counts of Trafficking a Child, and numerous additional charges involving sex crimes against children and adults.
As part of his bail, he was also ordered to a strict no-contact order with the victim and their residence and to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
Ploederl will return to court on Monday (July 27th) to make his initial appearance in Branch 2.
Ploederl, formerly of Two Rivers, was most recently in the news after attempting to hide from police in a kitchen cabinet after following his ex at her workplace.
