2026 has been a year of celebration, growth, and remembrance for a local brewery.
3 Sheeps Brewing Company out of Sheboygan is set to celebrate its 14th birthday this Saturday (May 30th), having grown to be the state’s 3rd largest brewery since its founding in 2012.
3 Sheeps owner and founder Grant Pauly told SeehaferNews.com what guests can expect at the celebration.
“Our anniversary party, it’s a special day. It’s kind of one day where we’re all in it together. We’re all just getting to work hard that day, but also stop and take a moment to realize, like, this is really cool,” Pauly said with a smile. “And also, then we’ll have a few thousand of our friends and fans here as well, we just get to enjoy this. You know, it’s a thank you. It’s a celebration for all of us because we wouldn’t be here without people drinking 3 Sheeps.”
Pauly tells us that their own birthday isn’t the only one they will be celebrating this year.
They got a call from the America250 Wisconsin Commission, the official body tasked with the celebration of the United States of America’s 250th birthday in our home state, asking for help.
“It was a very cool honor to get that call. They gave us a call and asked us if we would be interested in making a beer to kind of partner with them and have it be on the official beers of the year,” Pauly told us.
The beer, Stay Golden, is a golden lager, an homage to former local favorites such as Kingsbury beer, and is intended to be an easy drinker fit for all festivities related to celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
2026 has also been a year of growth for the brewery, which recently announced it has once again expanded distribution to Illinois.
This comes after 3 Sheeps pulled out of the Illinois market during COVID.
Pauly explained, “We knew we wanted to get back, and this year it finally seemed like it made sense. So, we partnered with Brew City Distributing and we started launching down there last week.”
Additionally, as previously reported, Pauly and 3 Sheeps have partnered with the Les Paul Foundation to honor the Wisconsin music legend who was selected as this year’s namesake for the Wisconsinitis beer, a beer aimed at celebrating all things and individuals who’ve made Wisconsin into what it is today.
SeehaferNews.com will take a more in-depth look at the Les Paul, Wisconsinitis partnership in the coming days.
