It will be a week of major road work in the Sheboygan area.
There are numerous construction projects that are set to continue or begin this week across the city and county, many of which will affect traffic patterns.
In the city, the Department of Public Works will begin its annual summer crack filling and grinding operations today (May 11th) with 21 different portions of road to be tended to through the month of May.
Meanwhile, South Business Drive between Georgia Avenue and Indiana Avenue will be closed to traffic, also beginning today, as crews will work to make storm sewer improvements, curb and gutter repairs, and more.
This closure has been tentatively scheduled to be completed by May 29th. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will also be busy on county roads this week.
DOT crews will be repairing pavement in the north and southbound lanes of State Highway 57 between Clearview Road and State Highway 28 today between 6:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Likewise, the north and southbound lanes of State Highway 67 between County Road J and Lando Street will be closed tomorrow (May 12th), also from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., allowing the DOT to make pavement repairs in the area.
All road work and related traffic impacts in the city and county will be weather-dependent and may be subject to change.
