RED: Closure, Yellow: Detour
As road work continues in the Sheboygan area, another closure has been announced.
The City of Sheboygan Department of Public Works has informed the public that a complete closure of a portion of South Business Drive will be implemented on Monday, May 11th.
This closure will be in place between Georgia Avenue and Indiana Avenue and will block off traffic in both directions.
Currently, one lane on South Business remains open to traffic in both directions; however, continued work, which includes storm sewer improvements, curb and gutter repairs, and more, will prompt the complete closure.
This construction and its related traffic impacts have been tentatively scheduled for completion on May 29th.
While in effect, the posted detour for Sheboygan motorists will utilize Georgia Avenue, South 17th Street, and Indiana Avenue.
While a completion date has been set for the closure, the Sheboygan DPW reminds drivers that all work in the city is weather-dependent and may be subject to change.
