The same day they announced their new head football coach, Roncalli High School named its next Head Girls Basketball Coach.
Jason Shimon is taking over the program, bringing with him 23 years of coaching experience.
He led Southern Door High School to a record of 60–33 over his time there, which also included a Packerland Conference championship, a WIAA Regional Championship, and a WIAA Sectional Final appearance in 2018.
For the past two years, he has served as the Jets’ JV coach, where he has built strong relationships with student-athletes and contributed meaningfully to the growth of the program.
Athletic Director Nathan Kaderabek noted, “His commitment to fostering a culture of accountability, development, and sustained success made him an ideal fit to lead the Roncalli Girls Basketball program into its next chapter. We are truly blessed to have Jason Shimon as our next Head Girls Basketball Coach at Roncalli.”
Shimon also voiced his excitement, saying, “I believe the future is bright, and I am grateful for the opportunity to build on the foundation already established at Roncalli.”
