The man shot by a Sheboygan police officer in September has pleaded not guilty.
Court Documents show that 23-year-old Tommie L. Dixon was recently in a Sheboygan County courtroom for a preliminary hearing and arraignment, where he pleaded not guilty to the charges he faces, including two felonies.
Dixon has been charged with Disarming a Peace Officer, a felony, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and three Bail Jumping charges, two misdemeanors and one felony.
These charges stem from an incident that took place in the City of Sheboygan on September 8th.
Police received a call stating a man was around North 13th Street, waving a gun in the air.
It is alleged that officers made contact with Dixon in the area, then Dixon allegedly lunged at one of the two Sheboygan police officers and disarmed them, causing the other officer to shoot the 23-year-old.
Following the incident, the Sheboygan Press reported that Dixon was shot eight times.
Dixon will next be in court on January 29th for a scheduling conference.
