Sputnikfest

WHEN
Sputnikfest will take place at the corners of N. 8th and Park Streets on Saturday, September 7, 2019. The fun kicks off at noon, with live music by Double Down, a fantastic two-piece band. The children’s area with bounce houses, entertainment and games opens at noon as well.
There will be fun throughout the day, with appearances by the 501st legion, costume contests for children and adults beginning at 1:30pm, an alien pet costume contest, a Sci-fi Trivia contest, and happy hour. The fun doesn’t stop there. Live music by The Cougars begins at 6:00pm, the Ms. Space Debris Pageant with guest judges Charlie Berens, Mayor Justin Nickels, and Craig Dillion will take place at 8:00pm, followed by the Alien Drop raffle at 8:30pm.
