The Manitowoc Common Council voted last night on the City’s mask mandate, and according to Alderman Bill Schlei of District 8, the measure passed in a unanimous vote.
The mandate requires masks to be worn in city facilities, through May 18th, and allows the city to apply for any future stimulus money that may become available.
The mandate has received some backlash, with several members of the community voicing their displeasure at a recent Common Council meeting.
The Council will reconvene sometime before May 18th to either extend or eliminate the mandate.
