The Brown County Sheriff’s Office has released an update on Monday morning’s crash involving a cattle hauler.
According to Lieutenant Scott Vande Vort, the vehicle carrying 36-head of cattle and bound for JBS Packing crashed in the roundabout of Packerland drive just before 5:00 AM.
The driver apparently thought he was still on the highway and lost control of the semi, rolling it onto its’ side in the roundabout.
24-head of cattle were transported away from the scene alive. Twelve of the animals were either killed or had to be put down as a result of the crash.
