Former Packer Lane Taylor won’t be returning to Green Bay after signing a one-year deal with the Houston Texans.
Taylor was an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State in 2013 when the Packers signed him. He played in 79 regular-season games and seven playoff games, including 53 starts.
Between 2016 and 2018 the six-foot-three, 324-pound guard started 45-of-48 games.
An injury to his biceps in 2019 and an A-C-L injury in last year’s season opener knocked him out of action.
The versatile lineup played more than 3,000 snaps at left guard, while also putting in time at right guard and left tackle.
Over eight seasons, he only allowed 14 sacks.
