
Manitowoc Lincoln will be making its’ 4th overall appearance in the WIAA Girls Volleyball State Tournament when the Ships meet Sun Prairie late this afternoon in the Division-1 semifinals.
Lincoln has the 2 seed in the Final-4 and faces a Cardinals’ squad that is seeded 3rd.
The Manitowoc and Sun Prairie matchup followed by the battle between #1 seed Appleton North and 4-seed McFarland will occur at Kettle Moraine High School.
Match times are 4:15 and 7:00 PM respectively with the winners punching their ticket to the State championship at Kaukauna Saturday night.
Ships volleyball teams previously appeared at the state tournament in 1998, 2008, and 2014.
Meanwhile, $11 tickets for the State semifinal contest are available by pre-sale only at Lincoln between the hours of 8:00 AM & 1:00 PM today in the high school office. Signup for a student/staff Fan Bus is also available for $15.00 including a game ticket and the bus ride.
Tickets cannot be purchased at Kettle Moraine High School.
