
Manitowoc County Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa set bail at $2500 cash for a 65-year-old Manitowoc man taken into custody over the weekend for his fourth OWI.
Wayne Martin is also charged with Failure to install an Ignition Interlock Device, Operating After Revocation and Felony Bail Jumping.
A State Patrol Officer responded to a single-vehicle crash on County Highway JJ in Whitelaw and located Martin who was intoxicated. He admitted that he had been drinking before getting behind the wheel.
Martin was taken to Holy Family Memorial where he was treated for his injuries. A blood draw was also performed where after Martin was taken into custody.
Conditions of bail include that he is not allowed to operate a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license, he must maintain absolute sobriety and report to the Sheriff’s Department for photos and prints upon his release.
Martin remains in the County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for April 12th at 1:30 PM.
