A former Milwaukee County deputy has been sentenced to six months in jail for causing a fatal crash last year.
Joel Streicher will be on probation for two years.
Caesar Stinson was killed in the January 27th, 2020 crash in Milwaukee.
Streicher admitted looking down at his computer screen as he entered an intersection and hit the vehicle Stinson was driving.
At his Monday sentencing, Streicher tearfully apologized to Stinson’s family, saying the crash haunts him every day.
A restitution hearing will be held later this month.
