A talented shooting guard from Pennsylvania is sticking with Marquette despite the coaching change.
6′ 2″ Stevie Mitchell was initially recruited by Dwayne Killings, but he left the Golden Eagles program to get a head coaching position with Albany.
Mitchell averaged more than 25 points-a-game his senior season and he will be joining new coach Shaka Smart and the rest of the Marquette team this fall.
Smart can’t visit the program’s recruits in person, but he has seemingly established a rapport with several through phone conversations and virtual visits.
The spring signing period begins April 14th.
