Wisconsin did not have a full marching band in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. But almost 200 individual high school musicians took part in the Macy’s Great American Marching Band — and almost one dozen of those were from western Wisconsin. Students from Eau Claire Memorial and North high schools marched, as did some from Chippewa Falls. Katie Dasher, a senior at Memorial, tells W-E-A-U T-V the best part was meeting youngsters from across the country — and learning how they do things.
