The incident was reported just before 6:00 p-m in the Town of Dunkirk.
Investigators say the dilapidated barn had some recreational vehicles and a work trailing inside.
The barn was a total loss, the equipment inside was damaged and 15 acres of a nearby cornfield burned.
Officials put the estimated loss at $75,000 dollars.
No injuries were reported.
