A Brookfield woman who dragged her parents’ puppy to death has been sentenced to a year in jail after pleading no contest to felony mistreatment of animals.
Investigators say 48-year-old Rebecca Schroederus dragged the five-month-old English bulldog named Dolly through some grass and across pavement almost two years ago.
Dolly was bleeding from her mouth and eventually died.
As part of a plea agreement, Waukesha County prosecutors dropped several other felony charges. Schroederus was sentenced March 24th.
