Opponents of the idea say it makes no sense to place two convicted sex offenders next to Jellystone Park in Caledonia.
Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave says he knows Daniel Williams and Hung Tran have to live somewhere, but he and other officials wonder about putting them just a few feet from the park. People living nearby wrote to their county leaders, and on Tuesday the Village of Caledonia announced it plans to file a lawsuit to keep the men from moving in.
Local officials like State Senator Van Wanggaard, Caledonia Village President Jim Dobbs, and Delagrave are trying to reverse the decision made by a circuit court.
