Manitowoc County Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa set bail at $150 recognizance bond for a 65-year-old Manitowoc man who allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend.
Randy R. Rivest is charged with Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence Enhancer. Manitowoc Police were dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of South 19thStreet early this morning where the victim was heard saying “I can’t breathe and Don’t touch me.” The woman said that she and Rivest were enjoying ice cream when a verbal argument about their relationship became physical. She said he struck her multiple times with a closed fist, then proceed to grab several knives from a drawer telling the victim “I’m going to bury you.”
Conditions of bail are that Rivest has “no contact” with the victim or her residence, not possess any weapons and report to MTPD for photos and prints. An initial appearance is scheduled for April 22nd at 10:30 A.M.
