Shortly before vetoing an effort by legislative Republicans to control how federal relief funding is spent, Governor Tony Evers said he will dedicate two-and-a-half-billion dollars to economic recovery.
Evers made the announcement at a Milwaukee café Monday. The governor didn’t completely explain where the money would go, but small business grant funding would be expanded.
Wisconsin stands to receive a total of 5.7 billion dollars under the American Rescue Plan.
