A Manitowoc man was arrested early this morning (March 30th) after he allegedly threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend.
Officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 600 block of South 19th Street after dispatch received a call where they heard a woman saying “I can’t breathe” and “Don’t touch me”.
Officers used a battering ram to force entry into the apartment, where they located the victim and the suspect.
The woman told officers that the two were enjoying some ice cream when they got into a verbal argument about their relationship. The argument turned physical when he reportedly struck her multiple times with a closed fist before grabbing several knives from a drawer and threatened to kill her.
She told officers he said, “I’m going to bury you.”
The 65-year-old man was arrested on a charge of Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence Enhancer.
