High winds created big waves up-and-down the Lake Michigan shoreline Monday.
A steady, cool spring breeze was why waves were pounding the end of the Two Rivers breakwater.
The US Army Corps of Engineers reports water levels on Lake Michigan are three feet above baseline elevation, but down a foot from last year at this time – and down two inches from last month.
Scientists estimate the levels will rebound, rising by about three inches by the end of April.
