Six people are now without a home, while one citizen and two police officers were injured as a result of a fire in Green Bay.
Officials were made aware of the fire in the 2700 block of East Shore Drive just after midnight this morning (March 30th) and were also told a 12-year-old boy was unaccounted for. He was later found at a relative’s home down the street uninjured.
Crews battled the blaze and were able to bring it under control in around 10 minutes, but not before it caused $245,000 in damage.
One person did suffer minor burns while escaping the home. That individual received treatment at a local hospital and was released, as two police officers were treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
