
A convicted sex offender wanted on a federal warrant out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa has been arrested in the Madison area.
Monona police took 29-year-old Deiago D. Davis into custody Friday morning.
He was wanted by the U-S Marshals Service for violating the rules of Iowa’s sex offender registration multiple times.
Davis had been wearing a G-P-S bracelet while waiting for trial, but he cut it off in January 2020.
He was originally charged with lascivious acts with a child.
Monona police were joined by members of the U-S Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office when Davis was arrested.
