An Outagamie County judge has sentenced an Appleton man to 45 years in prison for stabbing a three-year-old girl to death.
Demetrius Williams had pleaded no contest to charges of first-degree intentional homicide and attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
He had been accused of trying to kill the girl’s mother in February of last year.
Williams told a 9-1-1 dispatcher he went on a stabbing rampage after Tiana Corbin told him she didn’t want to be with him anymore.
He said he killed Zyana Corbin because he knew it would cause the mother “great pain.”
Williams tried to escape the Outagamie County Jail last summer.
