An auction to benefit community programs in the Village of Denmark is set for this Saturday (March 27th) at 141 Speedway.
Roger Welsing is chairman of the Denmark Lions Club Consignment Auction and he spoke with Seehafer News about the upcoming event explaining that they “sell small ATVs, lawnmowers all kinds of things like, farm machinery, trailers, basically farm equipment.”
Welsing explained they weren’t able to hold the auction last year due to the pandemic so he expects a brisk day of activity.
He also stated the consignment auction is one of the Denmark Lions largest fundraisers.
They split everything that they make with the auctioneer and the rest goes to the Lions club and it’s spent on scholarships, the boy and girl scouts. Anything pertaining to the school and the needy in the Denmark School District.
The auction Saturday at 141 Speedway is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM and Welsing believes it’ll run until 3:00 or 3:30 that afternoon.
Sandwiches and refreshments will be available for sale during the day.
