The Wisconsin Supreme Court has ordered a new trial for a Pleasant Prairie man convicted of killing his wife.
Julie Jensen died of poisoning in 1998. She had written a letter to a neighbor saying if anything happened to her that her husband should be “the first suspect.”
An appeals court ruled that shouldn’t have been admitted during Mark Jensen’s trial.
The state Supreme Court agreed.
Jensen has maintained his innocence since his conviction in 2008.
Julie Jensen’s written statement won’t be admitted at his new trial.
