Madison College math instructor Paul Peeders says the chances for randomly picked bracket choices being 100 percent correct in the NCAA are one in 9.2 quintillion.
He says the odds are better that you would win Mega Millions and Powerball in the same week. Peeders says if you know something about all 68 teams, your chances do improve — down to about one in 128 billion. No one has ever picked a perfect bracket, although in 2019 an Ohio man correctly predicted the first 49 games of the tournament.
