Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes says 85-percent of his department’s officers have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Barnes shared that information on a Wednesday blog post. Barnes says he’s looking forward to the community getting to know the officers again after the coronavirus pandemic limited face-to-face interaction for more than a year.
The chief says the vaccinations are an important step toward getting his officers back into the neighborhoods and building relationships.
