Badgers safety Reggie Pearson Junior has reportedly entered the transfer protocol.
Pearson didn’t play last season due to an unspecific medical condition, and wasn’t listed on the Wisconsin roster.
Pearson tweeted that he has been cleared by two different medical professionals not affiliated with the university.
He had appeared in 18 games during his first two seasons and was a leading contributor in the defensive backfield, with 60 total tackles, 3.5 tackles-for-loss, and four deflected passes.
Pearson is the sixth Badger to enter the transfer portal this cycle – joining running back Nakia Watson and quarterback Jack Coan as major contributors who are leaving the program.
